Would this have a vnt or no?

I found a 1990 shelby daytona 2.2 intercooled for sale, and am thinking of buying for parts for my omni. They say it has a new turbo, were all of these vnt turbo's or did some have the regular t2 turbo with 2.5sv. How can easily tell by looking at the car which turbo it has?

90 2.2 intercooled would be a VNT car.
