Sweet. New parts!

After installing, definitely feels "smoother" and idles much better! Can't wait to get some time to turn up the boost

No,

Be sure that you have the bleed set on your turboXS HPMBC. Run it in all the way down and then out 3 turns and see if this doesn't improve the spool. Thats what it is intended to do on laggier turbos.

No,

I share your disappointment on your situation. I have a E2 46 trim from FM. To get mine to spool decent I did this. I have all the goodies so my flow is pretty good for a 8v. When the turbo hits it's great.

- Adjusted my Taft 2 cam 4 degrees advanced.
- Lowered my FP to 38-40 psi (w/o vacuum) AFR is now in the 12's till
about 2800/3000 and still goes low 10's at 6200.
- Advanced my timing to 14 degrees.

FYI,
Marion

Good advice, thanx!

Im getting the last of my goodies in order and I should be able to tune this puppy up properly. It starts to spool (from a complete stop, no brake-torquing) around 3K and hits full spool by 4K, but I still need to put the air charge sensor in, work on my AFR, and a few other things.

But yes, I have my boost controller set up like that, as per the instructions that came with it. Didn't realize what it was for exactly, book just says, "fine tune".

Ill have to get an adjustable cam gear soon, among other goodies

Thanx again!

Dang I cant find the edit button to simply add in...

I am running 14* base timing as well, BTW! Also, adjustable regulator and walbro pump came in So I should be able to adjust my base pressure shortly.

Anybody know if an SAFC is a handy gadget on these motors? Love to be able to lean out down low and wet it more on the top end!

Yes they work on these cars. I'm doing either one of those or a Mega Squirt in the future.
