need to know whats the max boost without hurting the turbo out of a stock garrett t1 with an intercooler

The mitsus were good to about 18psi. THe garrets are a little stouter then there later mitsu replacements and are a bit larger therefore can take more. Since you are already intercooled i would think 20+ but make sure your coolant and oil lines are all good

i have a mitsu on my car know i asked before about the mitsu and they told me not to go over 12 so i got a junk yard garrett t1 to get more boost know i will just stick to the mitsu just up the boost then keep the garrett for a back up thanks

someone told me they sustained 22psi out of a stock mitsu.... at least i think it was 22

I've been above 25psi on a stock garret. The turbo had no problems, although it is very inefficient at that level.

There are Mitsu's spinning past 18, but I feel that there efficiency is gone much past 15, even intercooled. Most people that are doing it are in some kind of class racing that requires them to use the turbo. The Garrett can go 22+ but its efficiency falls way off after like 18 IIRC.
