My 87' daytona shelby Z has a heat problem.. We pulled it up and Rebuilt Everything.. it has a T2 turbo.. anyone help me trouble shoot? and im new to the site im open for idea's on how to make this car Quick as hell... neways when the car idols it gets a little hot? is this normal? the exaust is off the car tempararly

Fan works... at idol the temp heats up not sure on he degree ill check to night... im putting a new stat in it and drilling a 1/16 hole in it to stop The shock to the motor when it opens up.. any other ideas? im currently 17 lol so im kinda new i am somewhat motor smart..please help

Did you make sure all the air is out of the hose and cooling system?

Might have a pocket of air in there causing that or a blockage of some sort.
