What are the advantages/ disadvantages in installing a bov?

Gvalve is totally separate from the BOV, g valve is to manually up your boost. BOV is the vent pressure once the Throttle body closes to turbine prevent surge

Depends on your setup. Seems that most turbo dodges come with some type of blow off valve stock. It can help if the BOV isnt working properly (either isn't sealing completely or is not opening properly).

The G-Valve, if done properly, will help by raising your boost.

bov protects your turbo from getting damaged. If u have 88 older pull-through setup you don't need a bov but if its 88 up blow-through intake then yes you should have bov. G valve doese nothing to do with bov if you have either of them they would still function the same. G valve you can choose how much boost you want manually
