Ok, so 89 2.5 TI 5 speed.

Every vac diagram i look at, it only show's one vac line running to the wastegate solenoid. This one vac line is the one comming from the wastegate. But there are 3 nipples. One filter, one wastegate and then a blank. How does this solenoid work without and vac/boost reference?

From Shelgame from the other site.

Our stock systems basically have 2 types - source control and bleed control. The T2 uses the source control - it only allows the WG can to 'see' boost when the solenoid is active. The late T1 ('88-up) use the bleed style - the WG always 'sees' manifold pressure, but the signal is bled off until the solenoid is active; then it sees the full signal and opens to control boost.

Ok. So why just thru the street some times i'll make about the stock 7 psi but on the highway, i've bottom'd the stock gauge and feel the car pull like crazzzzzy! I've done a custom vac setup but i don't know if that has anything to do with it. I've posted on here and had it checked and all seems good. Is my turbo on it's last leg or is something electrical causing the problem?

Just another one. Why is there three nipples on the wastegate solenoid?

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust?

You are absolutly correct, they do not show the vacuum source in the vacuum diagrams.
There are 3 ports on the vacuum solenoids.
1) Manifold Vacuum Source
2) Output to Controlled Device
3) Vent/Bleed, used to bleed vacuum from the circuit when the solenoid is actuated.

did you put your "custom" vacuum setup like the factory had it?
Should be:
vac/press source -> 'T' to WG can -> WG solenoid

they have 3 nipples cause thats what they had laying around. Why make a new contract for 2 nipple valves when you got 3 nipple valves already?

Just make sure you got it on the nipple that holds vac/prss @ idle.
You might have hooked to the wrong nipple, bleeding at idle and cruise and then over boosting under hard throttle. I'm sure 1 nipple should be plugged and 1 should have (had) a little foam filter on it.
