89 Daytona Shelby T1 Automatic Mitsubishi Turbo.

Only boosting 3 psi or so until 3700ish then it goes to 4, 4.5 and that is all. I thought stock for this vehicle specification is about 7-8 psi? Or am I smoking crack...
*edit* this is on a spearco boost gauge, the stocker vacuum line is like, pinched as I cannot get a reading from the stock or the spearco.

Also, I've got a cone K&N and my BOV is just sitting there, should I be able to hear it when I let off the throttle...because I don't...could it be leaking?

Thanks.

Joe

what are you using for boost control? could be the solenoid is stuck and running manifold pressure straight to the wastegate. that'll keep the boost nice and low and make it hard to hear the bov.

The wastegate solenoid is sticking. Either find a different one and try that, or buy a boost controller(what I would do).

Same thing happened to me. Found out that vac lines to solonoid were hooked up wrong. Check diagram on underside of hood. To check the solonoid itself, just ground one connection and touch the other connection with positive. Should be an audible "click"
