Well, I should have known better than to deal with a shady character. I was told that the guy had a s60 turbo (.63 turbine) and have been waiting for it for 6 months. Why you ask? $400 for a new rebuilt s60 with clipped exhaust turbine and 3" o2.....

It seems that the S60 is simply only a run of the mill t2. .48 exhaust (I don't knwo if it is clipped or not) and a .42 compressor. And the 3" o2.... a stock 2.5" (better than the 2.25 I suppose)

Anyway, I guess for $400 it is brand new, never used and tight as can be. and I shouldn't complain too much. One question... the compressor vanes look a little strange..... Anyonw know why?? Pic is attached. ~~Heath... feeling screwed.

I think you got a pretty good deal. A new rebuilt stock t-2 turbo would be a good buy for $400. You not only got that but a bigger compressor side, (s60, and that's probably why the vanes look different) plus if they clipped the exhaust vanes that would be extra, and even a used 2.5" swingvalve goes for at least $75.
Yes, a .63 exhaust housing would be nice, but that upgrade alone runs about $200, and depending on your application, a .63 might not be the best choice.
later,
Cindy

Well, after a discussion with the previous owner where I told him it was NOT a true s60 turbo I found out the following. It does indeed have the super 60 compressor, thats why it looked bigger. However it just has a plane jane .48 exhaust turbine and a 2.5" o2. I will be selling the 2.5" o2 as soon as I can to get a 3" Thanks guys!! ~~Heath
