soon very soon like next week ill be putting on 400+ miles a week (most highway) but still i don't need to lose all my oil one of these days on my way to my new job...

I will be contacting who rebuilt the turbo though tomorrow, does it really matter who rebuilt it? NO im talking about my current situation and whats wrong now, not about some vendeta that you have with a vendor...

Well its safe as long as you monitor your oil level...I know when TU blew 3 of my turbos i drove them each for 600 more miles after they blew and my motor was fine...I even hammered on it while they were blown.

My bro just picked up a '88 T2 Daytona with bad turbo.

Don't know how long it was driven, but we found about 3 quarts of oil in the intercooler and misc. small turbo parts in there too.

Apparently, the turbo was shot to the point where the shaft play allowed contact with the compressor housing and thing just blew apart from there.

Had it not been for the oil, I bet those pieces of metal would have went past the throttle body and wreaked havoc on the bottom end.
