Question can i run a bov on a 86 glh

can i run a bov on a 86 glh?? i was once told that the 86's came with a throttle body and no mpi. but my 86 has a tb and 4 injectors on a fuel rail. any help on this situation would be very greatly appreciated!!

Your 86 GLH can't use a BOV; not with the stock engine anyway.

Your 86 GLH does have MPI and a throttle body, but since the throttle body is located *before* the turbocharger, there is never any compressor surge and therefore no need for a BOV.

On the later 2.2/2.5 turbo cars, you should use a BOV. That's because the throttle bodies on those engines is located between the turbocharger and engine.
