Alot of guys are running the Isuzu NPR 'coolers. I hear that is the best bang for the buck. They come in two sizes. I've seen the small one for under $200. I almost bought one myself. I've decided to go with a Spearco. I'll let you know how well it does once my car is done.

I run a stock one mounted up front. I'm having a custom one built right now.

NPR not sure what it stands for but it was available in two intercooler sizes small and large. They where put on Izuz turbo desiel trucks, the intercoolers are made by Toyo.

Let me rephrase the question then....
is this an intercooler that can be found at a wrecking yard?

If yes, what sort of vehicles? Are we talking heavy duty trucks like semis, or 3 tons? or simply heavy duty people trucks like F350's and duramax etc?

I have a few intercoolers, a powerstroke, a cummins, a couple stock dodge, and a supercoupe tbird..... the big ones wont fir the omni, and the little ones require multiple units mounted together....uglier IMHO....

anyway, thanks!

NPR's FUSO's and FSO's are found in delivery kind of trucks, with the little tiny cube cab. That's what I've found anyways.

My friend is moving and there is a FUSO delivery truck in their driveway right now, I might go out at 3:00am and steal the IC haha

NPR is a model of Isuzo cab-over truck.

Just like a Starion or Conquest intercooler. Its not the intercooler thats named Starion, its the car it came from.

Well, NPR coolers come from NPR trucks.

Incidentally, Isuzu NPR's were also sold as re-badged GMC's.

I'm running the Volvo I/Cooler. Acording to Garry Donovan, the Volvo I/Cooler flows a little better than the stocker but cools beter because of the total exposed fin area.
I am having good luck with mine!
