At what point should I upgrade from my T2 intercooler? What is the fastest anyone has gone with a stock unit?

I think it becomes a significant bottleneck once you exceed ~ 200 Hp worth of air

I just swapped my stock T2 IC for an SRT4 which isnt a "great" IC, but theyre better than a TD IC

before the swap my best et was 13.8 ; after the swap I made just 1 run, blew the tires loose twice, backpedaled twice, and ran a 13.8

next up is tires with grip

Gary Donovan was using a stock I/C on Relentless into the 12's before he switched to the 2-core unit. You can read up on everything he did up to that point to get there, but it is possible.

See, that's right where I'm hoping to be (in the 12's). I guess I'll just do a few passes, and see how hot the IC is afterward (man I wish I could monitor my IAT's...)

Yup, tranny issues, rust issues, and not enough $ to make it run 10's issues. But I love it

The stockers heat soak pretty bad after a couple passes. Most of that is due to location I think. You may want to figure out some way to cool it down in between runs. I'm thinking about trying a small fan on mine and see if it helps. It won't do any better than the air flow driving down the road, but at a stoplight etc it will hopefully cool things down a bit.
