Been working on this for a while. There is no power. I pulled codes 15 and 22, couldn't find anything wrong with the wiring on the coolant sensor , however the speed/distance was unplugged. That cleared up the codes but it still stalls out a stop sign and there is no power. All the easy stuff has been replaced, plugs, points, cap, fuel and air filter. What next?

Can I check out the sensor without buying a new one?

I took out (what I thought ) was the sensor. It has two flat blade connectors and on the inside a ball bearing that pushes up when I pressed on it. Is this the S/D sensor ? It was below the air filter box ?

That's the back-up light switch you have there. You need to look on the other side of the differential case where the passenger side axle comes in. On top of the bearing extension you'll find the sensor.

Apparently it is not very visible from just looking down into the engine. Too much other stuff. Tomorrow ,I will get underneath the car and try to find it.
