87 Baron T1

I have a 4dr baron t1 87 2.2 engine and it needs a new turbo. What do you suggest as a replacement for it. another t1 with a intercooler or upgrading to another type of new relentless performance one. just looking for a daily driver that has the shock factor of OMFG did that four door just smoke your muffstain 5.0

The turbo you have has the same specs as the 87-89 T2 turbos, just a different compressor housing. I'd stick with that one. They come on any T1 dodge car from 84-87. I run the T2 spec one, and it puts out 20psi with no problems.

The turbo on the car has been spinning without oil. cut the line needs a new turbo. bought the car for 300 dollars cause the turbo was leaking oil and the car smoked like hell. but that turbo burned itself boosting without oil. have a t2 spec turbo I could get a t1 spec i could use or I could purchase a new one. I plan on intercooling the car. And are there any real big differences from the t1 and the t2 except the intercooler is needed. new to turbo dodges.

also what intercooler will be my best bet it seems like i have lots of room to play around with but I am not sure if a volvo will fit? maybe just a daytona over the fender one?
