89 Shelby intercooler in a 90 Spirit?

Here is my problem I want to put the intercooler/radiator from 89 Shelby into my 90 Spirit. I tried to mock the radiator in the car but the locating pins dont fit the bottom. The upper mounts dont have a place to attach to. The biggest problem is that the radiator neck is about an inch higher than the support. I think it will hit the hood but I cant check yet since the hood is off.

So how should I attach it and will it the hood hit?

I'm using an '89 setup in my '90 Daytona. Same problem, the lower holes are different and the upper retainers don't work at all. I ended up drilling new lower holes into the frame and making a bracket to hold the top which bolts to the upper support. I thought the neck was going to hit the hood too, but it doesn't. At least not on the Daytona. Based on my old '89 Spirit, it seems like you should actually have slightly more head room at the front of the engine bay versus a Daytona, but I've never measured it.
