Hello, I have an 87 Shelby Z to build up this winter. Completely stock with under 80k miles.

Just wondering what some of the most cost effective ways to build reliable power would be (maybe around 300?).

Put a big fuel pump in it first.

3" exhaust from the turbo back.

bigger injectors and a custom tune for 15-18 psi.

Innovate Motorsports Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Tuning. You'll want their LC-1 wideband to make sure you have the correct fuel ratio. Don't bother with the narrowband sensor for tuning.

Ok cool. fuel pump, injectors, bigger exhaust, LC-1 kit... how about upgrading the turbo? Any thoughts on the best way to go?
