Hey

So I dont want to pay $50 and wait 2 weeks for a MBC and was wondering what are the exact parts I need to make one? Ive heard you can buy it all at Home Depot for $5-6. I just want to raise my boost to around 14... because 14.7 is engine and fuel cutoff right? And how exactly do I install it I know its in the intake and WG vacuum line and there was a good post on it but now I cant seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Awesome! thanks for those sites there is a lot of useful information. I think im just going to buy the 20$ MBC instead of trying to build my own and screw something up Also, I know the engine cut off is at 14.7 psi but does it cut off the fuel to? I thought I read that somewhere but not to sure. If it doesnt, can you do the map trick to get a few more psi? Sorry for all the Q's but the spirit is finally running good and im starting to get stuff ready for spring.

Yea it looks pretty neat but I think a dual stage would be better... you dont have to run vacuum lines into the cab and you wont go boost crazy lol.

yeah, I would keep my underhood grainger set at 14psi for daily dutties and then flip a switch for this bad boy and have a second solenoid on the T shifter handle for an "all boost" setting aka "self destruct mode"
My motor say close to 30psi for a few seconds once when the wastegate hose fell off(wow!)

Thanks for the site Simsy it has lots of useful information

Crazy, your lucky your car didnt blow up lol it must have went real fast that time!

I also had another question that I just remembered. Where does this vacuum line go? It was disconnected when the head was done. We followed all the diagrams but have no idea where it connects to. and if I remeber correctly it used to idle at 20 in. vac but now its just above 10. Ill take another look later but heres a picture of it
