I just bought a 88 es shadow turbo 1 it pulls a steady 11psi (on the stock guage). the guy I bought it from had it since it was 1yr. old and said it was stock, my friends Daytona 88 turbo pulls about 7psi and is stock. what is normal I no the Mopar performance computors for 1987 and earlier turbo 1 says up tp 11psi?

stock is 7psi,you need an intercooler to run 11psi,i think, someone correct me if im wrong.is there a mbc on it?the stock computer can run up to 14.9 psi,but an intercooler is recommended for higher boost, again the stock boost is 7psi thats just what the computer can compensate up to with no problems cause it will supply enough fuel to it

You can run 11 non intercooler. when you start hitting 14+ your going to need intercooling. And as for running 11psi thats fine my 86 laser will run 7 if im just putting around town. But if im racing it and really mash the peddle ill run eleven so that all normal. Also I wouldnt trust the stock boost gauge to much.

IIRC, cooler air = more air at lower psi's. So in other words, a 7 psi at a higher temperature is not going to be nearly as much air as 7 psi at a lower temp. So even running 12 psi with cooler air, you will have more of a HP increase then 12 psi without the IC.

you can use the mitsu with an intercooler though, just it is typically upgraded to Garrett down the road.

your going to need a manual boost controller, and you have to add a 5th injector or get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and i think bigger injectors, air fuel gauge
