OK first off I would like to thank everyone for their help this far.

The car: 88 Daytona Shelby z 2.2 tII

The problem: The plastic piece that holds the shutter blade to the distributer crapped out on me a few days ago. Ever since I replaced the distributer my boost guage reads 15 psi of vaccume. I just finished totally replacing all the vaccume lines with new ones and everything is where it should be according to the vaccume diagram. What are the other possible causes??? All the vaccume connections are secured with double zip ties and I tried to find any leaks with soapy water... NADA. Thanks in advance for your help. You guys have been great!!!

Did you recheck your ignition timing after you replaced your distributor?

Yeah, that was the first thing I did after I installed the distributer. The car runs ok (better than it has in a while), I'm just worried about the turbo sucking up oil. Not sure where to go from here.

Hmm...
You have a check valve (one way valve) in the line to the gauge instead of a restrictor. They look very similar. Vac gets in, can't get out.

So what are you saying? Do you feel that it should be higher? Mine is usually about 17 in/hg on an autometer gauge at idle but I have a rebuilt motor with a cam, je's,shaved and ported head, big intake and exhaust piping. With the old motor i used to get about 15 in/hg at idle if I remember right. The vaccuum you are seeing is based on manifold pressure not turbo pressure so more is better.
