Help...Does T40E 57 trim wheel fit a 50 trim housing??

I am being told that a T40E 57 trim compressor wheel will fit properly into a T40E 50 trim compressor housing??

Is this true??


I have checked these following specs:

The 50 trim compressor wheel (turbonetics pt# 30375) has an inducer diameter 2.122", and major diameter 2.950".

The 57 trim compressor wheel (turbonetics pt# 30377) has an inducer diameter 2.230”, and major diameter 2.950”.

The 50 trim compressor housing (turbonetics pt# 30428) has an inlet diameter of 4.00".

Without having these wheels, and 50 trim housing in hand, i can not be certain that the 57 trim wheel fits in the 50 trim housing.

Can someone with first hand (certain) knowledge give some feedback on this.

Next series of questions will be how much lag this T3/T40E will have on a 2.5L A568??

Thanks for the response Chris.

I got some confirmation today, including pictures, from seller as he had mis-typed the description of the compressor housing size.

The actual housing size is 57 trim, with matching 57 trim wheel.
