I have an 89 Lebarron Coupe 2.5L T1 /w A-3sp right now the mechanics are trashed.. the motor runs really hot and the tranny I got out of a shadow after LITERALLY blowing the org. one is junk. I have tried everything to level out the temps on this thing with no avail new head/rebuild,new water pump/rad + system flush...nada. I am thinking that I have damaged the block after about 3 head gaskets and 2 heads.

Here is what I want to do.

1. Get another 2.5L T block punch it out .010 plain it .005 rebuild it. (use my new head too)

2. Use the bigger Garret T1 off of an 87 600ES and add a HUGE intercooler (see pic)

3. Use the 87' 600ES' auto tranny

4. Purchase the Performance computer for it.

I also may add a nice sleek hood scoop and a modified front air dam and lower the car a couple inches.

Please give your opinions and tell me if its OK or if some stuff wont work.

Here is a pic of the cooler sitting in front of the car. Its an International cooler off of a school bus I got for $50 canadian. I "think" Ford uses the same one on their Power stroke Diesel trucks.
