If my turbo was to completely sieze up because of bad bearings will the van still be operational? Or is there a way to bypass the turbo? and run proper? Thanks, sorry for dumb questions just got a bad felling about my turbo in my van!

Yes, it would still run. Would be a slug, though.

I "bypassed" the turbo on a Daytona I had once. Replaced the center section/compressor housing with a piece of machined aluminum. Connected airbox directly to throttle body. Ran like a turd, got a bit louder, but ran like that for a few months until sister-in-law jumped a curb with it.

Come to think of it.. Car wouldn't hit more than 75 or so mph, and that took quite some time! :big grin: You van would probably struggle to hit 70mph. I'm sure advancing the ignition timing would help some....
