With my boost set to 7psi - if I floor my car in a higher gear (3rd at 10mph) ors omething like that I boost like I am supposed to but I don't really feel any pull until the RPMs get like 2k+

thats normal,

its because your engine is turning a smaller gear (*meant to be used between 30 - 100 km/h) if your driving to slow, in the wrong gear, your over working the engine.

over working the engine is bad.

*the actual recommended shift speeds are in the owners manual.

10-20-30-40 shift speeds usually work for me =) They drop me in the next gear right at about 2krpm (where the good pulling starts at) I was simply stating that you may build boost but you might not always feel it - depending on other conditions/situations. =)

It shifts me out of gears at 3k and lands me at about 2k.
