i have a 90 Shadow ES 2.5 T1 5sp
i just put a 3" exhuast on, from the DP back
2 1/2 DP and the 3" into a Dynomax 4"bullet
the thing spikes before i can get to my shift point
i figure its a spike because it happens when gauage is around 15 psi if u think otherwise, let me know. i plan a putting a T2 or T3 on in winter, but can i stop this spike for the time bein please let me know how to
Rich

I had the same problem with my Mitsu...2.5" exhaust and it still spiked pretty bad. Now with my Garret on there, it hits perfect boost w/ no spiking as far as I can tell...

you can

*A) Put a restrictive (stock) Cat on (backpressure should slow her down...im at 12.5psi[g-valve controlled] so far with my mitsu, and i dont spike much)
B) get a boost controller and set it low (so easy)
C) Drive slower (easiest)

* im currently looking for a good low resistance cat
i kept the stocker on because im not sure which one to go with,
im thinking having it flanged like a muffler so i can swap it back and forth with maybe a hollowed one (cop tricker hopefully) or go straight from the downpipe
