um... if you can blow through your PCV then it's bad...

When I'm bored at the junkyard I usually grab some and test them like that... only pocket the ones I can't blow through both ways.

you missed it... if you can't blow though it both ways then you still may be able to blow through one way.

It's only supposed to flow one way. But make sure you're holding it in the right orientation when you test it. There's no spring; it depends on gravity to drop the metal ball into the seat.

Hmph. I've only got the one on the car here at the moment (just one from AutoZone), and it has a steel ball-like thingy, not perfectly round, in it.

Factory Mopar PVC valves are the only domestic ones that do not leak at all. Even TBI Mopar ones are posotively shut, aftermarket ones for turbo cars leak too. If you just want to add on in there grab a Toyota one from yard, they are strait and posotive locking.
You are correct, with 20 psi regulated air in shop a PVC valve sounds like a freight train with that small orifice opening.

mine already has a check valve in it. but i have a boost leak somewhere. sometimes when i'm in 3 and all the time when i'm in fourth, it goes to 14, then down to 5-7psi and slowly raises back up????? i'm gonna replace all the plastic vac. lines with new rubber ones, hopefully thats it.
