OK.. I have almost everything in my van now (IC, BOV CAI). I'm not sure which vaccum line to hook to the new BOV's top port. In the attached picture you'll see the two lines that came off the stock bov/air box.

The smaller one (on right) has a check valve, and was attached to the top of the stock BOV. I'm guessing this is the one I want to use, but what about the check valve. And what should I do with the larger line? I think it goes to the cruise control, and power brake booster.

the smaller one on the right is a source of vaccum for the bov. im not sure what you should do with the check valve (i dont have a aftermarket bov yet) the other hose should somehow be put into the intake. i drilled a hole in the side of the pvc intake pipe and used some epoxy to keep it sealed in.

I got everything together, but I'm having a problem. As the pressure builds it seems the BOV is leaking. It opens when I lift the throttle, but it seems to leak as the boost rises also. Should I use the larger line.... it comes from the turbo's outlet, splits and goes to the brake booster, and cruise control.

yhea... I'm using the stock line. I followed it back to behind the valve cover. It might eventually go to the TB. BTW I removed the stock check valve.

The other line is much larger (diameter), and comes right off the turbo's outlet.

I tried it with the check valve, and I couldn't get over 5psi! I know it was in the way it was on the stock BOV, but I didn't try the other direction.

I also tried the other line... that didn't work at all. I could hear the boost stacking up, and no bleed from the BOV.

I still get 13 psi, with a quick spike to 15. Could the BOV be bad? It came off a running car.... how well it work there I don't know. Should I get a slight pressure out of it as it idles? I guess the only way I can know for sure if it's the BOV leaking is run a hose from it to me as I drive.

You know... I did add the CAI at the same time as the BOV. It is possible I'm hearing that. You can see the BOV, and filter in the pic. It's hard to tell exactly where the sound is coming from.... seems more like the BOV, though.

I tried a BOV test hose today (7/8" garden hose run from the BOV out from under the hood into the cabin ):big grin:

It worked well. I found I don't have a leak! I never had air sucked in (that I could feel), and until I let off the gas I didn't have air coming out. When I did let off the gas.. wow.. did I have air! 13psi of hot air!!

Yhea.. I guess it worked all along. It is loud when it releases the pressure. I thought it was leaking, but I guess it's the air getting sucked into the K&N filter.

Here's a pic of my intake setup. I just installed a switch today to turn the radiator fan also. That was an easy mod!
