Why are you swapping from a garrett to a mitsu? The garrett kicks royal butt on the mitsu. On my 2.5 the mitsu crapped out after 5000 rpm where the garrett just keeps going. Just a question.

The garrett is off of a pull through and is restricted by that little opening they call a compressor inlet. Besides, the 2.2 likes the smaller mitsu turbo better because it spools better on the smaller engine. The 2.5 in Slopar will be getting a garrett....because it falls on it's face with the mitsu and needs a bigger turbo. All i have available right now is a mitsu that will work with my intake, don't wanna buy any ghetto rigged inlet adapters for the T03 and don't wanna waste my TII housing on a 2.2.........you see?

Does this mean you are swapping to a t2 initake? If so I wold think the old garrett with a few adaptor pieces and a bit of a compressor rotation would still be better. But each to his own. When I swapped mine over I changed all the coolant and oil lines. I went braided since it seems like most of the factory ones always fail. But if the ones on the car you are getting the turbo from are still good I would grab those and use them.

I'd sell mine for $100 minus shipping. It's been running fine on my car since I rebuilt the motor over a year ago. It's the original turbo with around 106k but doesn't smoke or have any problems. I run it at 14.5 psi but ran it with the wastegate unplugged for about 2 weeks with no problems. Here in Colorado it made around 17.5 psi unplugged. At a lower altitude it should be good for more.
