1989 dodge shadow 5-spd 2.5 turbo.

Its the same engine as the minivan, but are the turbos different?

The one I am buying doesn't have the dual-stage boost control (you know, 5psi under 4000rpm?)

And it goes to 11psi. Is there something broken? the engine is stock.

Sounds about right to me...... Not sure on the engines, but my 2.5L in the C/S gets exactly what you just claimed....

Is that by the stock gauge? If so they are pretty inaccurate.

The free-er flowing exhaust allows a couple more psi of boost. That's not uncommon. I had seen 12 psi on a friend's '89 2.5 T-I 5 speed Shadow.

That makes sense. The car's exhaust is a 2.5 inch straight pipe with a muffler at the end. No cat.
