it's a stock 89 Shadow ES. Well, almost stock. it has a 2.5 exhaust all the way back, no cat.

It will boost all the way to 15psi, then keeps hitting the cut-out point. I dont hear any detonation, and my spark plugs are reading fine. Is there someting wrong with my turbo, or the restirctor?

I would check your vacuum line going to your wastegate. Maybe your exhaust has burned a hole in it, or it cracked from drying out.. Something is keeping your wastegate from sensing boost.

sounds like a good idea. I'll check in the morning before work.

Well, sometimes the boost works well. it'll taper off around 10psi.. then if I let off the gas and stomp it again, It'll jump to 14-15 and cut out.

would a blown head gasket cause boost creep?

Just wonderin', cause after last night during a spirited run, I started smelling coolant

EDIT: hahaha i'm stupid. My coolant reservoir tank has a split in the bottom and is dripping coolant onto the block. "thumbs up

You need a cutout raiser on your MAP sensor line, your hitting computer cut-out at 14.5 psi. Get one at Dawes devices, they work awesome!!!!!

if you go that route, just make sure you have enough fuel to go with that added boost!

Right Clickhere33, make sure you have enough fuel or back down on your boost so you don't hit cutout!
