OK dumb question of the day, Where's the factory boost guage sending unit located? Or does it have a vacuum line to the guage somewhere? Oh-89 Daytona T-I (sort of)

are you speaking of the boost gauge or the wastegate silenoid that regulates boost? the wastegate silenoid is on the passenger side infront of the map sensor. there is one vaccum line going to it. the vaccum line is the line that is tee'd into the line from the compressor side nipple, to the wastegate can.

Nope, I mean the guage itself. I'm putting in an Autometer guage and don't want extra crap cluttering my engine bay, plus I am hoping to use the same port if it's in the manifold, otherwise I'll drill and tap one....

just follow back the hose. it only connects to a vaccum source. sorry i dont know where it is (mine didnt come with a boost gauge) i think its on the passenger side of the engine compartment if that helps... and you can use the same hose just disconnect the old boost gauge.... however i would just get a vaccum dist. block and put it on the intake. or you can use any source of vaccum off the intake, or throttle body. hope that helps

Whats up man, long time no see....

I hooked mine up to where the little hose near the brake booster is. Keeps engine bay clean as you dont have to run much line. Although on my van there was a hose that had a cap on it between the valve cover and intake (injector area) on the left side as you are looking at the engine.

Let me know if you need pics,

You have a PM!

The gauge SHOULD have a line run to it (the factory gauge). You can pull it off and stick it on your autometer OR tee into it. Either way, you add nothing to the engine bay this way.
