would it be better to buy just a omni and build up from there or buy a glh and build up from there?

definitly start off with a car that was turbo'd from the factory. then you don't have to worry about sawpping over all the wiring, fuel stuff, and whole engine from a turbo car. It may be cheaper to buy a N/A omni but once you convert it to turbo specs you might as well ahve just boughten a glh

really depends on how deep you wanna get into it. you could find a glh or glhs but unless your lucky, these cars arent cheap. id say around 1500-2000 for a glh and way more for a glhs. if your mechanically inclined you could get a tbi omni for pennys and a complete turbo donor car for a few hundred and have a turbo'd omni for well under a grand.

it's a non-turbo engine. The TBI stands for Throttle Body Injection, ther eis only one injector and it's in the TB.

And I can know how dificult it is to find a glh omni in someparts, can't find one around here. but that doesn't mean that it's not easier to start off with one than an N/A omni

After purchasing a GLHT, less than 1k more (includes buying slicks) will have EASY 12's.

Get the car then ask away. The cars are so simple... For 5k, An Omni could easily be low 12's

I hear ya about the difficulty to find a GLH omni, as I never even heard of it when I found mine. Man, I am glad I did find it though- well atleast I will be once I am done fixing that darn floor. LOL
