Identifying Garret between S60?

Anyone know how to look at a Garret between S60 and know the difference? any physical difference? I picked up a mystery turbo at the junk yard assuming it a regular T2 garret. It was from a 1989 lebaron obviously with performance parts and this turbo.


Its the turbo on the left. One on the right is for sale.

from the pic it looks loike a stock TII ;

to verify you coiuld pop the compressor cover off and measure the wheel diameters

a S60 should have ~48mm inducer ;
a .42 (stock TI/II) should have a~42mm inducer ;

both should have a ~60mm exducer...

(fyi stock Ford 60 trim has ~46 mm inducer)

Looks like a stock TII turbo. Super 60 would have a/r .63 stamped on the turbine housing. Sometimes, it would have TURBONETICS on the compressor housing.

see the "lip" between the wheel and the casting for the air pipe? the S60 has a lot larger wheel and you don't see the lip there.
