I wanna know how to make a homemade electrolysis bath I looked all over the web and couldnt find much. I just want to know how to make one because I have some parts I would like to clean like cylinder head and block.

I've done it before:



Basically you need the following:
Sodium Carbonate (pool pH increaser)
A 12v DC battery source (a battery charger works good)
Some metal that's not copper that can get rusty

In a solution of water and sodium carbonate (one tablespoon of washing soda per gallon of water) place a rusty metal and non rusty metal in the bath. Connect the metal to get rusty to the positive battery cable and the metal to get un-rusted to the negative cable. And presto, it will unrust overnight, maybe faster.

Just note that hydrogen and oxygen are byproducts of this operation. So do it outside.

bulldog565 is keeping the peace
I just did this on an old cracked head I had laying around and after just 2 hours of it going it looks really good and every thing on it just wipes off. I love this Im going to do this with every part it works so well!
