You'll be better off spending your money to buy a complete donor car and swap everything over.

yeah Those kits are tough to install with lots of experiance and fab tools.

Tryingbe is right on the fact you need an organ donor to get everything. Then look at the stage 1 thread in the FAQ section.

http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f4/...ting-20-a.html

Keep in mind that you'd use one of those cheap turbos, claimed to run 300 HP and a stock T1 or T2 turbo Garret is a 300 HP turbo.... and a quality turbo. Intercoolers are different, but they don't have moving parts though...

yes, read the lower posts in that thread, stage 1 stock turbo build on the SRT 4 nets 270 WHP. So yeah 300 HP stock turbo.

Real high boost pressure eats up a cheap turbo quikly, the 2.4 turbo engine like other 16v engines and V6-V8 engines need less pressure for power. Those turbos on a V8 running 6 PSI aren't under the same stress as a 2.2 at 25 PSI.

I was into BMW E30's for awhile. And I probably will get another someday. Anyway, I helped a friend with a turbo project on his 318. He used a cheap no name turbo from Ebay, it failed in short order. I would stay away from those Ebay turbos if you can. And you don't need two...unless you are really an ambitious builder. Stick with name brand.

The Chinese turbos suck, the intercoolers and piping kits are good if you know what to look for (beaded pipes, multilayer silicone couplers, t-bolt clamps).

a donor car would be the easiest way to 'turbo' a non-turbo TD

or watch the FS section here for deals like this ;)

http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f7/...lectronic.html

pick an IC that fits where yu want to put it,
buy a TI "log" garrett turbo 50-100$
(..and wiring harness, and ECM, etc. ;) ..)

and yu'd be all set
