Need some advice QUICK! Air Research M10

I have the opportunity to pick this up stupid cheap, but I have never heard of Air Research, except that it's under Garret. It came off an Omni, though i am not sure what A/R it is. How can i find out? Also, are these any good or are they garbage? I don't wanna waste my time picking up something i cant use. I have a super 60 set up right now but my turbo is starting to go... just thinkin that if this is good, it'd be worth grabbin in case.

If any of this seems totally ridiculous, feel free to let me know. while mechanically i know my 2.2 very well, my knowledge on turbos and their performance ratings is novice at best.

That's just a stock TI turbo from 84-87.
a/r .42 compressor housing
T3 50 trim compressor wheel
a/r .48 turbine housing
stage 1 turbine wheel.

You'll have to convert it to use as a TII turbo.

I'd get your super 60 rebuild instead.

I saw that on CL also while doing my normal searches. I asked if he had any more TD stuff for sale and he said no.

For $50, grab it, good core if the wheels are good.

I have some tractors, combines, etc that use Air Research turbos that are alot bigger than what we use o n TDs. They are used on DT414, DT435 & DT466 international diesel engines. Mine are super reliable. Some have given 40 years of service without failure. In fact the cast exhaust elbow will usually rust out before the turbos wear out. Thx-Ace
