Can some one tell me Wat the 2.5 turbo is called and how much boost can they run

Please clarify the first part of the question.

Assuming that it's completely stock, the factory boost setting should be 7-9 psi depending on the year and model. The stock turbo reportedly maxes out at about 14 psi, but you can bump that up a bit with the addition of an intercooler, I think 16 psi where they start to over spool to the point of no longer being efficient.

Assuming your OK with stock...The factory mitsubishi teo4h would obviously be least hassel, quicker spool up. A garret t03 as found on the turbo 1 up to and through 87, and on all turbo 2 cars would work with some modifications. The turbo 2 t03 would probably be second easiest to install, as the wastegate actuator will actually fit under your intake manifold (t1 t03's need the compressor housing clocked, an adapter made for the inlet, WG actuator needs altered\moved and the flange on the inlet of turbine housing will need ground due to clearance issues, EGR tube plugged). Theyre a little bigger than the mitsubishi and could generate a little more boost, dont heat the charged air as much either. Finding a decent one here shouldnt be very hard.

The mitsu turbo like ur current one comes on 88+ turbo 1 engines. Early garrett turbos are from pre-88 turbo 1 cars with the log intake manifold where the incoming air enters the TB, goes into turbo, then intake. all turbo 2 cars got the garrett, and would need little to no modification to work with your 2.5
