cool sounds good. only thing Im kinda worried about now money is getting tight and i need antoher daily driver. I may have to put the project off for a little while. But I think Il hang onto the turbos to have them for when I get the money.
375-400hp is realy al Id liek to have. And liek you said, the block cant hadnle much more than that anyways lol. If it was gonna be an all out race car with a better budget, id use bigger turbos and have a engien girdle, better heads and stuff.

thanks for all the help

this is going to sound like a real dumb question, but i have been wondering for a while, if you are using twin turbos (non-sequential) are you getting twice as much flow with the same psi, or twice as much psi?

thanks
The reason for the mismatch is because chrysler went to a 2.5" outlet in 1989. Ther rest of the turbo is the same. If you want the match either (.2.5 or 2.5) one, I'll give you the one you want for free. You just pay the shipping.

Twice the flow and Twice the size of the exhaust opening is my guess

So do you think it would work fine using the 2 I have? If so Ill just stick with them.
Thanks for the generous offer. Ill consider it if you think I would need a matching one. Is there shaft play or anythign on it?
Ill be out of town until Monday so thanks for the help and Ill proably be back with more questions then.

Hi Mustangcarbd

Heres the set up you'd be better off with....
A pair of 5spd Garret turbos off of a mid 80s Tbird or XR4Ti....they have a 60 trim compressor side AND a .63 turbine side...PLUS they use the standard T3 exhaust flange, which would mean future upgrades would be EASY and cheaper to get....PLUS much more power would be available from them.

my god father use to do this all the time to his v8 cars for ****s n giggles.. they would take the turbos off smashed K cars and Dodges and Add turbos to his cars and beat the piss outta em.. an engine would last a week with fully beating the piss outta it. He had a monte carlo with a single turbo on it, caprice with twin turbo, and a couple of trucks. He said it was a blast untill the engine blew. THe power difference was incredible.. most v8's have a diff torque feeling than any turbo 4 cylinder... add both of em and u got a bucket of fun.

Love the sound of V8's and deff love the sound of turbo.. U mix the both of em.... u get an orgasm LOL.

if you are going to use a turbo an a orig NA engine and use a carb, the best setup is off a 80 trans am, i use 2 of these turbos and twin carbs on a 72 tubbed 4 dr Dart with a 413,you cant intercool it because its a draw through setup but it is an easy install and tuneing is fairly simple

Ok, if both of the turbos read the same A/R ratio, then they should flow the same in the end. The A/R ratio is the ratio of the A(Area of any cross section in the turbine housing) over R(Radius (distance from the center of the turbine shaft to the center of that cross section). So by the time the exhaust gases hit the turbine, the gases should be moving at the same speeds (or at least darn close, this is mitsubishi after all).
Whether or not to use mitsus?? Why not?? You've got the parts, and hopefully the time. Do it, if you're not satisified, swap em with different units. Plus itll be easier the second time round.

Good luck bro. I hope it works out.
