I was told that the only difference between a TI and TII was the outer aluminum casing. Today I compared a TI from an L-body and a TII from a lebaron, and the exhaust flange from the lebaron was much wider than the l-body tI. Is this a difference between tI and tII, or is it just bigger on the lebaron to begin with?

turbo1 garretts and turbo2 garretts up to 88' are exactially the same except for compressor housings,in 89' t2 garretts had 2 1/2" swing valves.also if im not mistaken 88' & up turbo1 cars used mitsus.

edit:87 up t2 garrets had no egr bung in the swing valve as do some early t1's
