Thanks, how much better spool up does a 2.5" swing valve give you over the 2.25?

Upgrading 2.25" to 2.5" provides a 23% increase in flow area

Upgrading 2.5" to TU 3" provides a 44% increase in flow area

Thanks, I am looking for a faster spool up from my garrett, as my car is heavy and high geared. I am considering doing a 30-50 shot of nitrous to get the little mother spinning when I mash the peddle but if the bigger swing valve will do it all the better. The motor is stock except for a 2 1/2 " exaust system with 2 1/2" free flow cat, glass pack muffler for turbo use and a ansa resonator twin tip unit. The motor has a KandN in the stock box, a stage 3 smec from FWD, cam timeing has been altered to give beter toqure and 15 degree ignition timing. So I am looking for more zip off the line and a better top end too.

So I am looking at about 1,000 bucks for a new turbo, quick spool and 2.5 swing gate is that correct?
