Ain't got a lot of cash to spare, but I need to get a Garrett in place of the Mitsubishi turbo. I know I should spend the cash on a .63 housing, but if I stick with the .48 housing, how much HP can my 2.5 make before the .48 housing starts to become a restriction? I have a 2-1/2" exhaust system with no cat.

I would say a stock Garrett on a 2.5 could flow around 275whp if tuned well. High-flowing intercooler required, of course.

We'll find out soon enough, you can see my sig as what I had, will be running same turbo with 50 trim, same exhaust turbine and ratio then will hit the dyno shortly after its installed. :big grin:
Figure it will be good for at least 300 whp, seen as my boost was so high and completely out of the compressor map.

I'm also planning on maxxing out the stock turbo.

My Omni GLH has:
2.5L - no balance shafts
stock T2 head/cam/manifolds
stock T2 Garrett T03 turbocharger
'89 2.5 T1 SMEC electronics
3" exhaust - (swingvalve, downpipe, no cat, Ultraflo) 3" mandrel bent
large NPR intercooler - 2.75" charge pipes (2.75" mandrel bent aluminum)
3" cold/ram air intake (3" mandrel bent aluminum)
TurboXS RFL BOV

I'm hoping to get as close as I can to 300 WHP. Dyno is on the 27th; I don't know if I'll be ready though.
