Is there suppose to be a clamp on the oil return hose? I just replaced mine, there was no clamp, and now I think it is leaking. Is this a pressurized hose?

i don't think it's pressurized but yes there should be a clamp on each end of the hose.

It should definatly not have pressure, but if you have alot of crankcase pressure there could be a slight (less than a couple psi in there). It should have clamps, if you don't have any napa sells the good lined worm gear clamps (normal hose clamps with an extra liner to protect the hose).

A stock car will have a crush type clamp on the top and a hose clamp on the bottom.

Speaking about oil lines and stuff - I have a oil line running from the front of the engine back to the right side (driver side) of the engine into the turbo. Is this high pressure oil? there is a solid metal line than goes thru a rubber line and connected back to another solid metal line - and the rubber line seems to keep bursting and losing oil out of it...

Yes that is your oil supply line for the turbo, you should fix that A.S.A.P cause if it goes while your driving you could fry your turbo.

A local race shop (usually the oval track shops have it in stock) can get you some areoquip line that should be the proper dia (5/16ths i think), that should hold, i'd hate to see a turbo get fried cause of cheap rubber.

yeah, thats the oil feed line to the turbo. its at engine oil pressure.
what type of hose are you using? not fuel hose, i hope. it will fail quickly...
you need to be using "oil coooler hose", or "transmission cooler hose". its available at many parts stores.

I would not suggest using the aeroquip hose unless its pure silicone. I was given some aeroquip that is partially silicone (looks like its wrapped in blue tape) and it restricts with heat.

Do replace the turbo oil line, its only $40 from the vendors. Also, get some silicone hose, if you can find it locally, cool, if not, TU has a section for $7 (i thought high at first but then i realized i wasted more than that in gas looking for pure silicone hose and i still havent found any.. thats the funniest)

I use the blue areoquip line for my oil cooler http://www.axode.net/images/dodge/oilcooler_lg.jpg
and have not had any problems with it, although its much larger than the 5/16" oil feed line. Anything would be better than just plain fuel line which will fail repeatedly.
