How much is Mopar selling the Super 60 kits for lately and are they still available?

I think they are NS1 as of a couple years ago. Meaning, "Mopar" does not sell them anymore.

I don't know the price, but I have this years mopar performance catalog and it still shows the turbo, injectors, computer and fuel pump for the super 60. There are alot better options out there now from our vendors on this board. The new cals they make are light years above the old super 60. I am running one from Relentless and it flat out gets it done.

Yeah, the S60 kit is really dated, you can do alot better nowadays. Check out both www.fwdperformance.com and www.********************, they both sell 3 bar calibration computers for just about every year of Turbo Dodge. They also both sell bigger injectors, bigger turbo's.. Along with everything else you might need to get the 300hp the S60 kit was supposed to give you, such as 3" exhaust systems and turbo headers..

What they said. The package in it's whole wasn't that great for a street car and technology is much better today.

The S60 turbo is a great turbo for a street car looking to push 300hp and even if Dodge doesn't stock it anymore, you can still pick one up from a variety of turbocharger dealers. It will run fine on a stock logic module. The S60 cal is not needed to run it.

The +40 injectors in the S60 kit are useful too and can be bought seperately from Dodge dealers. They will require an adjustable fuel pressure regulator along with a rising rate regulator on a stock logic module, or a custom calibration in order to be right.

The S60 intercooler flowed well, but it's small compared to what many guys run today. There are better choices.

The S60 logic module was designed for racing and lacked O2 sensor feedback, so for a street car you'll be running extremely rich in normal driving.

The S60 cam is a good cam for power but it's not required to make 300hp. I'm pretty sure these or exact copies are still available from some of our vendors.

All in all the Super 60 package was designed to be a plug and play 300hp set-up, but by todays standards it's a bit lacking as a whole. Some of the parts are great, some not so great. There are better ways to reach the same power levels.

I think Cindy at FWD sells roller cams similar in grind to the super 60 that are suppose to have good wear unlike the super 60 cam. You might surf her site and see what she has to offer.

Thank you to all for the feedback. I was told the Turbo in the kit is now produced by Turbonetics. Is this true and are the reliable? I'm not trying to be smart just like to buy quality.

Yup the S60 turbo, even when its sold thru Mopar is built by turbonetics, as the S60 compressor wheel is a proprietary pie
ce from turbonetics.

What pressure would you guys run with the +40s ? I was talking with a friend today who works in a dealership parts dept. and he told me that they are available as he sold one last week with the super 60 turbo kit for $1488CDN and the Super 60 computer for$203CDN. How much is a decent custom cal worth?

Ted.

It will depend on the year of electronics you are running. I think FWD performance sells them for $125. (I think that's the price. You may look at their site to verify.) I'm not sure what $1488 CDN translate into US dollars, but you can get a turbo cheaper than that I'm sure.

The Super 60 Package was specifically designed for use on L-Bodies.

Also in the Super 60 Package was a Super 60 Wiring Harness, which converted the LM/PM set-up to SMEC.

A Super 60 Fuel Pump

And a Mopar Performance Race Ported Head or a G-Head with oversize valves and heavy duty valve springs

$1488 converts to $1200 U.S. That includes the Turbo, +40s and a 3 bar Map sensor which apparently says GM on it.
