i have a TI in the omni converted to TII (inlet for intercooler). But, i still have the 2.25 swingvalve on it and i want to change it with a 89 Garrett TII 2.5 SV. my question is do I need a different wastegate can ?? will my stock TI fit ??

The Garret wastegate can's are bigger so they will be better(1989s only). Your stock Mitzy has a fine wastegate can and I wouldnt swap it unless you are getting serious with mods. The 89 Garret turbo's can is better because it is bigger, so it has more spring tension and can hold more vaccum.
