I'm 16 and just got a 1985 dodge shelby charger turbo with a 2.2L turbocharged motor. I want more power. What can I do to it???? Also I was looking at a enforcer 3 turbo. Are these any good? The site said I should get about 400HP out of it. Is this true? Thanks.

You need to convert to a blow-through intake setup to make that kind of power. It is also needed to run an intercooler.

There is no way you would be able to get that kind of power out of a turbo alone. One thing I've been looking for, for my csx-t is a water injection kit. That is the safest, cheapest, and best way to get that extra power you're looking at. E-mail these guys at support@aquastealth.com. These systems kick ass! With these systems you will need to change your intake piping to aluminum though. Other than that I would just go with the basics, intercooler, boost controller, chip, all that good stuff. But, just so you know, confucious say; man with riced out car, don't know crap. Also the only modification that would give you that much horsepower is to sell your car and buy a Corvette Z06.

Go here start reading. http://www.thedodgegarage.com/
Read and heed the warnings. If you don't know much of what you are doing you will end up with a junk engine. It takes quite a few bucks to get 400 h.p.
Take the time and ask many questions. We are here to help.

Yes read the TURBO DATABASE like 5 times atleast. The first good mods to do are things like exhaust and a manual boost controller. Oh, let me fix that the first mods you need to do is get a good aftermarket boost gauge and an air/fuel gauge preferably one from Dawesdevices.com
Good luck!

just cause the turbo is good for 400 HP doesn't mean your engine block is. Firstly you'd wanna convert it To a TII enigne, which is time consuming, and lets hope you like trouble shooting. Secondly, the stock turbo is plenty for anything under 200 horse, EASILY i'd say.

hope that helps.

He actually did it with a stock IC!!! Another person did it with a dual core, point is 250 WHP is easily done with the stocker. Now obviously 2.5's aren't gonna do as well because they need to breathe better, but 2.2's can make use of the small turbine.

I've done it, more time consuming than it is difficult. Did you follow the link the first person that replied showed you?
