got my "grainger" valve and other associated fittings to make it work. now for a couple of questions. first off, is it better to use the intake or the turbo output nipple as the boost source for the valve? im inclined to use the manifold, but i may be wrong. second, do you leave the stock quick release valve attached to the outlet nipple or just disconnect it altogether? im assuming that is what the valve in the stock air box is called. id would also assume if you use the manifold as the pressure source and disconnect the quick release, i would have to cap the turbo output nipple, correct? is there any danger of stacking up the boost pressure against the turbo with the quick release disconnected ( i'll be running about 14psi boost)?

T1 or T2? if its T1 then dont worry about where the grainger is, so long as it'll see boost. If its T2, you can go ON the turbo, or manifold. I'd say the manifold, since you dont want your wastegate opening during a shift when there's no boost in the manifold, but there might be in the turbo.

Quick release disconnect? Do you mean blowoff valve? I'd say use it. They help reduce surge and it'll help your turbo last longer.

if you're talking about the little plastic thing that is in the line that goes to the stock BOV in the airbox...like a breather with like cotton in it, you'll need to leave that in if your using the stock BOV and are just liberating it from the airbox, if you choose an aftermatket BOV and are using the same vac. line to hook up to it, you have to remove the little breather thing to get the BOV to work properly..... I was confused as to what you're talking about, so my answer could be WAAAAYYY off.... but maybe it helps.
