at idle there is a steady stream of air coming out of my BOV. is this normal or is my valve junk?

I believe its normal at idle... did you try manualy opening the throttle body and cheak if air comes out?

im not perfect... so i might be wrong on this

that is because the vacuum source is pulling the diaphram open... it's totally normal but you might want to put a filter on it so it doesn't suck anything in.

being that its blowing air at idle. i dont think theres much chance of it sucking air in at any point

mine does that to or it did i also got tired of the part throttle dying cow sound from it
and just put my hks ssqv on it that i borrowed from my subaru wagon while i am upgradeing it

will have to get another aftermarket bov for the van soon i'll be needing my hks back for the wagon
