I got a 88' garrett turbo from a shebly lancer, and i want to know if it will bolt up on my 89' T1 engine. And will my stock 2.5 inch down pipe work with the garrett's 2.25 inch swingvalve?

If the Garrett is from a Log car, it will bolt up but you need an adapter for the compressor side and you need to modify the oil and coolant pipes a bit. The DP will fit with some grinding.

It's not from a log car....
so i guess i should be good other then the lines.
I'm hoping this turbo will control the boost better then the mitsu, the dam thing loves to overboost.

The turbo will bolt right up, and if you use the same lines from the lancer than there will be nothing else needed. Yes your downpipe will bolt right up withought any modification. Yes it will be much easier to control boost with that turbo.

Yes. Some of the coolant and oil lines are needed from the garrett also.
