Mistu. map range?

Do some Mitsu. turbos only spool up to 9 or 10 psi? I have an 89 Spirit and I installed a MP comp. recaled from T.U. I bought it off a guy who bought it from T.U. and he said it went to 14psi and ran fine in his car, I put it in my car and drove atleast 15-16 miles and let it warm up a couple of times in the driveway and Im still only hitting 9psi. I know that the turbo is not smoking, the turbo is perfect...or do I have some weird year for a mitsu.?

I run mine to 14 all the time. You might have a vac leak, exhaust leak, etc...

Found the problem! I switched another 89 MP computer with my dad and it worked the same, so it's the exhaust plugging me up.
