do you want power mods, handling, appearance .. ?

I'm guessing power: a freer-flowing exhaust is a good first step.. it will sound better too and will be necessary for later mods as well. you can buy them pre-bent and ready to install, or maybe you are lucky and have a competent muffler shop around you ?

further low budget power mods - a little more boost, less restrictive air cleaner, scour local junkyards for an 89 TII car and get the 2.5" swingvalve (will work great with your upgraded exhaust), perhaps a cam/rollers from an 88 2.2 TBI car {cheap if you can find one in a junkyard**

go to the "Links" subject and start with the "Links" thread ; spend couple hours reading and following links.. you will get lots of good ideas for various mods. many can be done with little money and some ingenuity and time spent chasing various parts

see the turbo database section. Read it over and over again, wait then go back and read some more.

Get some guages, making more power will hurt something if you can't see whats going on, I prefer Dawes for the air fuel guage and an egt is an asset.
