Turbine Play Tolerances??? If Any!

Just wondering, how much; if any, play you can have on a T1 garret turbo.

basically it should not hit the housings. there are tolerances, but they require some pretty elaborate (read expensive) equipment to measure.

no in/out movement at all. the side to side play will get better with oil press.

good to hear, i pulled the old turbo off my other motor and it has some side to side play, buy no in/out play.Ahhhh now i can breath a sigh of relief. thanks guys
